kiwi.media.mit.edu/tetherT(ether) is a novel spatially aware display that supports intuitive interaction with volumetric data. The display acts as a window affording users a perspective view of three- dimensional data through tracking of head position and orientation. T(ether) creates a 1:1 mapping between real and virtual coordinate space allowing immersive exploration of the joint domain. Our system creates a shared workspace in which co-located or remote users can collaborate in both the real and virtual worlds. The system allows input through capacitive touch on the display and a motion-tracked glove. When placed behind the display, the user’s hand extends into the virtual world, enabling the user to interact with objects directly.

“iPad Head Girl”
“The concept and analogy here is to show a guy ‘getting inside a girl’s head’ and sort of ‘reading her mind’ by flipping through the magazine pages on the iPad,” Thinkmodo creative director Michael Krivicka told The Next Web.
A quick clip of Public Ad Campaign beta-testing Augmented Reality Advertising Takeover (Details: is.gd/85ok7N) in Times Square on Sunday. Developed with The Heavy Projects (is.gd/uF8KnI), the augmented reality viewer runs on smart phones and virtually replaces outdoor ads with curated artworks by street artists Ron English, John Fekner, PosterBoy, Doctor D and Ox.
WURM App - Generative Art
One of my latest addictions on my iPad is WURM for creating experimental generative art. The developers did a fantastic job giving you patterns, colors and shapes to play with, and then you can fine tune your masterpiece with all of the controls. WURM even has a blog setup on Tumblr (gallery.wurmapp.com) that showcases all the user submitted art.
